I think t660 look better than t680 ,why t680 look just t2000,t660 is just a same as w900 ,that my taste,my next truck is not going be t680, it be w900. T680 hood look like cascading..
-
Yup, it will come. The left a few months sooner, the right lasted one year and five days. Just out of the warranty.... Be vary.
Well, no one can argue with your personal taste, but the the T680 has 10% better aerodynamic than the 660, what translate 5% fuel on highway. It means about 3,000$ in a year for me. In the 15 years what I plan to use it means 45,000$. For the W900, what is a beautiful truck, you can double it. If your pride, your hobby worth this money, than that is okay. But myself, I would drive the fugliest truck on the planet for 90,000$...... And the T680 looks d amn good for me.Last edited: Apr 18, 2014

I agree with Oram 100%, just wish one thing - that 680 would some where in future become as sturdy built as KW classic cabs and sleepers (T660, T800, W900). Seems like Paccar going the Volvo and Freightliner route in built quality but at the premium cost. I think the T660 which is no longer produced as EPA truck for us Canadians is best of both worlds. Providing good fuel economy with quality construction and resale value.

Got marker light water leak fixed. Didn't check it yet though. As for bunk leak dealer was unable to find any.
Hood shock was also replaced by warranty (surprisingly has been on stock).
More positive: I found t680 is much better keeping cool in cab. Comparing to volvo there is absolutely NO "desert wind" flowing between your feet. Firewall and floor insulation make perfect job keeping hot engine breath away of cabin. This is very pleasing to me. I found myself turning A/C on far less than earlier. Maybe double-insulation option is playing its role, but non-the-less, heat resistance experience is very good in my case.
Installed Dual Dynamics Crossfire also on trailer. I regret only why didn't I do that earlier: checking tire pressure became a real joy. Highly recommend to everybody. -
Still I have a water leak at the bottom of the right side grab handle bar.
I think we have to look for some kind of after market hood shocks what fit, because it is waisted money to buy the OEM after it is out of warranty.
I can confirm, the sound and hear insulation is much better than in the Volvo. I can go 10 degree higher without air condition, and it needs very strong cross wind to feel anything inside.
The real breeze to check the tire pressure is to take a look on the TPMS display.

Well, its cheaper to buy 8pc set to control 16 wheels. Apropo, what TPMS do you use?
-
TST. They are the after market supplier of Daimler trucks. It has a cheap looking monitor, but works. And they have excellent customer service. Sure it costs some money, but a must have option on the single wide tires.
deming807 Thanks this. -
I have owned 2 T680's in the last year. I love the trucks. In my opinion it is the nicest interior on the road and the ride and reliability is awesome! Any specific questions, just ask.

In my opinion the look isn't as important as fuel mileage and interior comfort. I think theT680 is the only choice for other than looks reasons..
