Looking to get a new 2015 T680 but it does not have the streering wheel controls. Does anyone have one like this and is the cruise control on the dash? Thanks

I am a Schneider driver just returning to work after some medical time at home and was issued a 2014 T680. This unit also has no steering wheel controls, and the cruise controls are mounted on the dash. This is the first T680 I have stepped a foot into after looking at the Kenworth website and drooling over as to what to expect when they said they had a T680 for me. On the inside, I am not impressed, condo roof, 1 bunk, but it at least has a real mattress, no upper bunk at all, going to be a problem when my son comes out with me this summer during school break, no doors or netting on the storage compartments, no desk or table of any sort. My old previous Columbia was a way better truck, wish I had it back now. Oh well, maybe time to consider a change. Going to yard to clean it up, and get it ready to go for Tuesday morning, then tell my DBL to find a Cascadia for me. A stripped down T680... right...

The 680 used by Schneider for lease operators has the table, tv mount
, double bunks, fridge and air ride. I did notice no doors or nets also.

Yeah take the rattle of the Columbia over the T680..enjoy the wind noise.

    I have a 2015 T680..O/O spec'd.

Very comfortable and laid out truck.
Only thing it does need some more storage..but that's about it.
I have the swing out table, fridge and gauge package.

It does not have any steering wheel controls..which is a bit different than the Cascadia I drove before..but it's fine.

It has the MX13..smooth quiet engine.
I had turbo trouble the 1st week..ended up in the shop for 3 days..kenworth picked up all my costs.

Tech told me due to some emissions issues PACCAR told them to up the HP from 455 to 485..so it would run hotter.

Long story short..it was like having a whole different engine..pulls very well,MPG is good and the Jake woke up.

Smooth riding and quiet..turns very well..probably the best truck I've ever drove.

Grijon, Battle Born and Zen Trucker Thank this.

False warning. Side turn signal wire on trailer was pressed by trailer skirt - there was SC. Fixed, changed fuse (under the hood) and there we go.

More important that latest oil shaws coolant trail. If next analisys confirm there gonna be claim on engine.

No Smart wheel complain, Really? No offense but T680 is a lot of truck for a company driver and way better quality than freightliner. Want all the sweet features you need to get a o/o spec. Be glad you got a new truck.
