I do it a lot in a day cab. I always make notes when I see a place with truck parking even if I don’t stay there.
Personally I was a little intimidated the first time I went long haul with a day cab. But now I like it! Bed, shower tv, no smelly loud truckstop parking lots and free breakfast!

Also you can park at truck stop and Uber/walk to nearest motel. A lot of truck stops have motels next to them.

I do day cab w a tank and have found I can park at nearly all hotels even if I have to back in. Not a lot of traffic nowadays cause of covid.

If you park at a truck stop be careful and try to park where you can see the truck from your room.
If some lowlife sees you leaving with luggage your truck is a easy target.bentstrider83 Thanks this. -
Nice cause it was "outside" Pheonix. And they have the big dirt lot next to the hotel.
Wow.
Few more years and Pheonix is gonna gobble it up. -
