I have family, who live in both Lynchburg and nearby Madison Hieghts Virginia. I use to park at the little truckstop near the Sams and Walmart on the south side on Wards Road. But, unfortunately, that little truckstop has closed. Is there anywhere I can park for 2-3 nights near Lynchburg while I visit my family.

Used to deliver in Lynchburg quite often. The only place I found was the Wal-Mart.

Walmart is a no go. My brother, being considerate of truck drivers, (since his little brother is one), was asked by a driver if he could park there for the night. My brother is a Assistant store manager of the walmart. He told the driver yes, he could park there, but to stay clear of the Sam's lot. Unfortunately, the driver didnt park in the walmart lot, but the Sams lot instead. When the drivers truck was told, he was threatening my brother and making a big scene. So, the policy of the stores in that area is no truck parking.
The closest truckstop with parking I can find thus far is in Arington, Tye River Truckstop, and Foster's in Rustburg.

It looks like Foster's is my best bet. Though the parking is very limited.

If Foster's the little joint on the left hand side going south then you will be fine parking there, man loggers drop there trailers there at night... There's also another place you can check which is right on 460, after 29 joins in, going West which will be on your right hand side which i believe is right across from the airport... Alot guys park there truck there also but it's private property, you can find the number and give them a call!!
