Hi all. I'm delivering in Orlando tomorrow and my truck stop guide doesn't list a single truck stop in the Orlando area. Is anyone familar with that area and know of anywhere a big truck can safely, legally sit overnight?
Normally I wouldn't worry about it but in todays market, I may have to sit a while waiting on my next load!
Any truck stops around Orlando Fl?

Exit 254...go south, be about a mile on your left. Get there early as possible.
It's a real ####hole, and they charge. -
Exit 55 on I-4 (US-27), go south to Haines City and it will be on your left hand side. If you have GPS, it's located at the intersection of W Commerce Ave. and US-27 in Haines City, FL. (8.1 miles south of I-4) That's probably as close as I would stay to Mickeyland.
They don't charge... it's not Crackville... it's always packed, get there early as you can. -
Thanks folks, I'll more than likely be hitting one or the other.
I don't have a GPS, well, not with me anyway. I talked to my Mom the other day. She told me she won a Tom Tom from somwhere and it's waiting on me. Now I just need a load that runs me near Nashville so I can swing by and pick it up
Google maps should be able to find that address though. Thanks again. -
One on Orange Blossom trail (441/92/17) about one block north of cental Florida parkway, on east side of hwy.
I cant recall the name of it, but it's a dive.
If you're on the south side, you could park on the street at Mclanes distribution - intersection of Poinciana Blvd and Orange Blossom trail (92/17). No worries about getting woke up either. Trucks parked there all the time 24/7 -
theres a a flying J and a TA at exit 10 but thats closer to Tampa. But you still within an hour of Orlando...

Wow, thanks for all the tips. I'll remember to look this thread up when I'm near Orlando again.
As it turns out, I didn't get a chance to check any of them out. Got my next load before I dropped the one I was under. Almost a 1000 mile run too! Talk about karma! Maybe I need to try and find a place to wait for every load
Needless to say, I didn't hang around Orlando any longer than I had to, had to shuttle a trailer to the CSX yard after dropping my load at the consignee, then picked up an empty and headed for Alachua to drop and hook a load north! -
LOL... that's the only way to do Floridaget in and get out!
