Anybody know if you go back to Schneider will they rehire with all the vacation you had when you left? I left with 4 weeks vacation and was wondering if I was to return will I get my vacation back? Or will I start all over again?

Best bet would be talk directly to a recruiter and if its offered get it in writing. @gentleroger might have a little more knowledge on this

They sent me a letter about this, I'll look when I get home

I believe if you return within 60 days you get to resume your health coverage immediately, 6 months and you retain original hire date/vacation.

    Quote:
For Drivers: If you are rehired more than 6 months after your last day worked, you will receive a new hire date. In order to preserve your original date of hire, your effective date for rehire must be within 6 months of your separation.

Benefits eligibility varies by plan and is generally determined by the most recent date of hire, unless the rehire date is within 30 days from the last day worked. Consult the benefit book for specific details on benefit implications.

Where did you go that you gave up 4 weeks of vacation?

It's a hard decision. Giving up home daily, 4 day work week, 4 week vacation to make over $100,000 year. Would have to work 5 on 2 off

You'll like Walmart more imo. I know quite a few people who retired from there, and after a year you can move/transfer to any DC you want. My uncle ran 7on7off3on4off and still pulled 70k a year, 401k match was strong compared to most companies.

What DC was he out of? I applied to Spring Valley IL, and they said not many programs available. I'd have to start running 5/2 and split seat 2-3 times a week. Meaning I'd have to swap trucks 2-3 times during my 5 day week. Also working weekends. Id only see my wife about 6 hours a week because my off days would be weekdays an she works and has weekends off. Also been home daily for over 15 years.

Guess it all depends on what is more important to you. Sounds like you had a great gig. I would have stayed put but that's me. We can't make the decision for you.
