If so, what do you think of them? Was looking at a W900, and the guy said that it was hard to scale it out with a load more than 43k. How is the fuel mileage? etc.?

Was talking to Phoenix, and they are rolling out a new 'program' for leasing new or used trucks. A FREE TANK OF GAS !!!! (big whoop) all it is, is a $900 credit.

I've been there a few times. That is one Nestle water i like going to. i'm always in and out in 30-45 min. But some of those 'pre-loaded' trailers, i never like not knowing exactly whats in the trailer. they'll say 43k, then when you scale it out, you're topping close to 80k. When that happens, i KNOW there is more than 43k in water in the back. (yeah, i know...plastic and the pallets count too)

From what I hear and see I have one of the few KW 660 on the fleet.Everywhere I go a swiftie will ask me what I did to get it!lol(which by the way, nothing.I turn in my tractor every 6-8 weeks, take my time off then get a new assigned tractor) I think it is lighter that a volvo, anytime i get 43,000 or more i gross 76-78,000 and never have to adjust the fifth wheel, its a cool truck but small, small, small in the cab(and no storage space at all in the cab) if i weighed anymore would have a hard time getting in the sleeper and im only 175 lbs!:biggrin_25523:

oh no...thats not what i wanna hear. =) i'm a bit more than 175. so maybe that will motivate me to start walking in my MT trailer. =) And i currently have a mid roof Volvo. I'd think there would be a little more storage in the back. but i'm guessing the space is about the same. I do know its got a sofa in the back. =)

I use to own an '05 660. Hauled 45,000 loads many times, but that was the upper limit.
My complaint was the cab is small. OK for one person, but if you've got a passenger, it's pretty tight.
I have a T2000 now and love it. Lot's more room.
Delivering a 44,800# load this morning. Scaled out with full tanks and APU at 79660.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that my mileage varies but consistently (if that makes any sense to you)with heavy loads over 40,000 i get 6.2 to 6.8 mpgs, but light or mt then i can seriously get 8.8 to 9.3 mpg in the midwest, texas the southwest where there are few stops and light traffic.:biggrin_2556:

yeah. a guy who was getting out of his lease on a 2010 W900 told me that. "heavier loads you'll get low MPGs and lighter loads gets you better MPGs"...yeah....like i didnt know that. =) :biggrin_2559:

kinda like saying "if you go down hill you'll get better MPGs, but if you go up hill, you'll get worse". =)
