Again another person that does not have the facts correct. Ghost Ryder, look at my avatar, and I believe that it is a KW, T660 studio. Swift also has the T700 and there are some T680's comming in. We also have the Cascadia and the Volvo 780.

Hi bisqueak just curious... I was wondering, are you still driving for Swift (Swift is still on my shortening list) I thought I had read you had "moved on"??

I have been going through "the process" of obtaining my CDL Class A (haven't been driving OTR since mid '80s before they started the CDL thingy) which I should have in hand by the 21st or 23rd of May (awaiting confirmation on my drive test date). In the meantime I have been following many, and reading even more, various threads of varying companies to consider applying to work for.

I have read many of your "adventures" which have not always been a pleasure to read, let alone a pleasure for you...

Anyway, to cut to the chase...

Whether you have or not moved on, could you please give me your .02 about going to work for Swift, if you are still with them, has things improved for you? Any views opinion of hauling dry van verses flatbed with Swift?

Thanks for your time and sharing.

God bless to you and yours always.

    Be safe out there.

I am still here. They knew that I was on the verge of going bye bye. Transferred terminals and was put on a dedicated account. Now they are taking care of me. It is with a DM that has been talking to me for a little while about comming there.

As far as van vs flatbed, all of the work that I want to do, open and close the doors and many times, just pull the pin on the 5th wheel and lower the landing gear so that can drop it. I am lazy. They are a good company. Much depends on your DM, the terminal and how you do. Hope that this helps.

Trucking Popeye and Bigdubber Thank this.

I'm glad to hear things have turned around for you. You were having quite a time there for a spell.
    Thanks for replying.
I just turned in an online application today. We'll see what happens.
I think when the time comes I too will stick to dry van.
Hopefully I'll hear from recruiting this coming week.
God bless and be safe out there.
