Heck I listen to Country, rock, METAL, and classical.

 

And I went to pick her up in the rain.

But before I could get the station in my pickup TRUCK,

She got runned over by a ###### ole train.

These are good examples of the true ability of a driver to occupy himself.

I get what the op is saying but dont forget its still summer time. come winter he may not be as bored. Winter storms, ice , snow, chains, freezing rain and so on. Hard to be bored when your every move requires total attention in the winter. And if your bored at two months try to challenge yourself. start by working things in your head like fuel calculations, trailer loading techniques , think of some different backing scenarios you have had and how you could have done them better etc. I think if your bored at 2 months then you should probably start paying more attention to what your doing as you still have so much to learn and to think on how to be a better professional driver. Just my opinion.

 

IMO in this industry you never stop learning especially now that so much is changing. And you winter time is packed full of excitement.

I get your point though. Listening to your usual crap on the radio all day will get boring in about a week no matter what it is.

I like a good talk radio program personally for some business or political banter when I'm trying to relax on a long stretch of highway. More engaging and doesn't fatigue your mind nearly as much.
