anybody hauling containers in cincinnati

    seem to see alot of them going down the road...just was wondering if you guys were making any money or just burning alot of fuel

    I know a guy that tried it for CSX a few years ago (when fuel was cheaper) and it only lasted a few weeks. He mainly hauled from Columbus to various points in Ohio. A lot of waiting, J-U-N-K equipment (flat tires, no lights) and tons of lies. You know the famous "most of our stuff is drop-n-hook". Not sure about Cincinnati but if it's mostly $5,000.00 trucks pulling them, there's probably a reason.

    i used to own my own pos and pulled cans out of the rial yards here in portland. garbage pay, garbage equipment, and a LOT of "just do this for me and I'll take care of you on the next one". I would never recommend doing this for a living unless your paid by the hour from the time you get to the truck till the time you leave it. Otherwise dont do it.
