I actually found Stevia (sweetener made from the leaves of the stevia plant) at the local grocery store. I have been using it in my tea, coffee, and even some of my baking. I have only noticed a slight aftertaste. So for the most part I like it alot!![]()
Anybody here use Stevia?

Our market doesn't stock Stevia as a brand, but instead has something called Truvia. It, too, is made from the leaves of the stevia plant. I bought my first box this past weekend and so far have only used it in mint tea. So far, so good... and I haven't minded any aftertaste.
What I like about it is that it's heavier than the other sweeteners -- has more bulk -- and hence is easier to use smaller quantities when using less than an equivalent teaspoon of regular sugar. -

We use it around here in some things. I don't like is as well as sugar, but it's not bad.

I was watching a program yesterday and unfortunately I tuned in halfway through. A doctor was claiming that if we would cut back on our sugar consumption that our bodies would be better able to fight off the flu. Sugar causes our immune system to weaken considerably.

I got some about a year and a half ago, it was in packets like sugar. I didn't care for it that much, I like Splenda better and I can't stand Nutra-Sweet.
Before they banned cyclamate, I liked the taste of diet drinks;that actually tasted sweet without much aftertaste, the reason for the ban has been debunked, but efforts to bring it back haven't been successful in the U.S.A. -

I like it; I have the Truvia packets too....I use it in tea, but tried it to sweeten up my oatmeal a bit and it didn't really do the trick. I still gotta have honey in my oatmeal
