Arrested??
Sure, more times than I'd care to admit to. A couple times I was innocent, too......THOSE (few) times, I was exonerated. There were times, as well, when I was doing drugs/alcohol; thought I was 10ft tall and bullet-proof. This was before the "kinder-gentler" cops of today, they didn't "TAZE" you and get it over quick, they worked you over with billy-clubs and phone books and if they left any marks on you, well they hid you under the jail until all evidence disappeared.
THOSE were the "Good Old Days" <sigh>
I learned quickly to "comply" with the directives of the Cops, because ultimately, THEY had the power. When I didn't act like a FOOL, I didn't get my arse kicked......quite simple actually.
Anybody know this dude?

I have two "friends" I have known since 1986. Neither one has spent more than 10 consecutive months out of prison since then. The last one to go "back", was paroled in October and was sent back to do another 5 years two weeks ago. Pathetic. -

You don't realize how pushy and angry your police seem to us Canadians. It's rare for them to point a gun without first someone acting up. What did Guy's Lady's husband do? Nothing!!! He never even had a chance to show a receipt, explain what happened, etc. He was treated completely unreasonably with absolutely NO justification!! THAT kind of treatment is just over the top and unjustified and I can't stand it!! Sure, a car chase, someone freaking out or acting stupid, blah, blah, I'd pull my gun and act harsh, too, but they do it too quickly these days and without cause. THAT is my problem with them.
Sorry that happened to you, Guy's Lady. You're lucky he didn't get hauled to jail first and get it straightened out later. I've heard of that one, too. It's not right. -
If the tasered driver had responded as Guyslady and her husband had, and simply gotten out of the truck as requested, he'd probably still be alive.
It's actually pretty simple. When confronted with an officer of the law -- who you KNOW carries a weapon -- you don't become irrational and combative. It's asking for trouble... and in this case, the guy got it.
Some here are looking at this strictly from the driver's perspective. Please try to balance this by seeing things from the officer's perspective, too. Irrational behavior can get out of hand very quickly, and it is the officer's job to retain control of the situation. -
I hear ya.
Some of the guys out of the local area I've run into have been way cool and professional with their job, and then there are others that have been complete wicks. -
I'd go home, chuckle about it, and tell my husband that Russ stopped me to say hello again...
