I'm in NC and I hear this guy advertising all the time when skip is running. I know there are a lot of "Exit 140A" 's in this country but I was curious if anybody knew where exactly he might be. He also says there's a Love's off that same exit, I think he mentioned a Chevron or Marathon nearby too. He never gives the city/state nor a telephone number. I want to ship a radio to him and try him out. Anybody that has any info or personal experiences with him, any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Anybody know where the CB shop is always on skip at "Exit 140A next to the Pilot" ?

I've heard that in Mich and Illinois too

He is in Van Horn, TX. Really sick of hearing his advertising. Doesn't help any that his voice is somewhat annoying as well.
As for sending him your radio, when he is on skip, I don't think his radio sounds all that great, and anybody who has so much time on his hands that he can sit and advertise all day every day is a huge red flag to me. One day while I was on a reset, I timed it...average was one advertisement every 3.75 minutes. If he did good work and had lots of business as a result...how would he have TIME to do that?SHO-TYME, SleepysRose, EZ Money and 1 other person Thank this. -
I can hear him in Vegas and longbeach ca!

Well, I can understand the frustration of hearing the advertising repeatedly if you're right on top of him, but that's what the "off" button is for. And since I have a musical/production background to go along with trucking, his advertising is recorded on a sampler or other audio chip that is doing the repeating. It IS EXACT EVERY TIME ! The phrasing, the gaps, everything about it repeats EXACT on every transmission so it's not him talking every time. But whatever he's doing, annoying voice or not, if he's riding skip almost daily from one coast to the other transmitting from a supposed mobile service truck, I'd say he's got somewhat of an idea what's going on. And as far as repetitive advertising, I'll bet his small business is hurting like the rest of us because with fuel and insurance as high as it is, there's not much "play $$" left over to get your radio "tweaked/boosted" thesedays. At least that's the way it is for me running on my own authority. I've got a decent radio guy near me in SC but I was just thinking of giving this guy a shot on a different radio I have that's all. I appreciate the Van Horn, TX location Volvo244t.

I have heard him all the way up in north eastern Wisconsin on the Michigan border. His advertisement has been changing lately. Today he started advertising a cobra 29 lx cammo. That being said he also said today that he is on the service road across from the pilot lot. So I would use the address for the pilot which is 501 Van Horn Dr Van Horn Tx.

Those of you who have been on the air for awhile, might remember Bamm Bamm, the "nightgown on, red panties on" guy in OKC that would broadcast his "going to bed" message over and over....you really think he was just sitting at his mic keying up every few minutes? Or do you think he had an electronical knowledge that allowed him to record the message onto a chip, inside the CB, and use a radio transmitter on an alternate frequency, to trigger the message? And if you wonder how he got out so far, he supposedly had a repeater on top of a tall building with an amp....possibly this cat on the CB could have something similar going.
