Can't be Scneidner they made money last year. I wonder if it is Swift, Werner, JB Hunt, Celadon ,Crete, US Express? Before the year is out and things don't improve look for Werner, Swift, Conway,Yellow and many more to be under and out of business. In years past they had lines of credit to sustain them through the tougher and lean times. Not now, the banks aren't lending and their cash flows are following very low. No money to hold them over and low freight volumes and cheap freight are a perfect storm for bankruptcy.

I definitely think it is US Xpress. I talked to them today and they are hiring no drivers of any kind and are on a 6 month to 1 year hiring freeze. Now what company does that?

I have heard of the 1 month freeze, but US Xpress with its indefinite freeze since January is a telling sign.

USX was frozen last November, supposedly to resume hiring in January. Are you sure they've remained frozen? I was pretty sure there were some orientation dates posted here from new drivers.

I think Celadon is a good candidate for going down.

Its strange I know. My old trainer recently went back to them in December and was hired as a solo driver, but I talked to them and they told me 6 months to 1 year.

Of course if you looked up liar in a thesaurus, recruiter would be one of the alternate words.
