Or maybe not. @Chinatown ? It looks like Jb is not all that interested in transferring me. Unless I want the family dollar account... Uh. No.

Is it ok if I ask for options out of corpus here?
I have tanker fuel experience but only 6 months. Loved it but the company is kaput. No reference available.
Otherwise I'm a van dragger. I would really like a regional that keeps me out of the frozen tundra. But I could go otr if its a company that lets you stay out long and then home 5 to 7 days straight. Those 1 and 1/2 day resets are for the birds.

There's plenty of local and regional jobs in Jacksonville/St. Augustine/Palm Coast area.
There's tanker and dry van in those areas.

I was in one while sitting in my bobtail down by Huntington beach once. I had just pulled my brake and shut off the key.when the thing started jumping up and down. I thought the engine had started diesling or something. Scared the crud out of me. When I realized what happened I spoke to some locals about it..all flushed and breathless. They just looked at me with bored eyes and said,"yup."

Yes but I changed my mind about leaving Texas. I know..multiple personality disorder. The draw to Jax was I could transfer my perfect unicorn job that I love so much and not skip a beat. But apparently all the other Jb drivers love that area too and locals win.

Lots of local tanker opportunity in Jax, I hauled fuel there for three years. Pipeline, Eagle, and Florida Rock all have terminals there. Lots of tank work with chemicals out of the paper mills in south GA..

Is Eagle the U.S. Mail outfit? Curious about them, but not sure about their schedules.

I also hear very mixed opinions about Florida Rock & Tank. Many seem to hate them.

A PTI transfer might work short term for me; I think UturnGirl is having a change of heart or J.B. is not coming through on the transfer so they're looking into Texas now.

I have even considered Texas myself, but for now biding my time getting experience and saving up.
