I thank God everyday for the mighty big cam.
No Electronic nonsense. I always hated the idea of some stupid little electronic Gizmo that you don't even need put you on the side of the road. Now it's even worse because that little electronic Gizmo can put you out of work for however many months at a shot.
I really worked over this engine before I put it into service. Hopefully all the hard parts are going to be okay but I don't think for that engine it's really a problem to get those parts. Just in case I'm going to make a call to the parts place that I deal with and double-check with them.
Anybody notice part shortage and/or long waits to get work done

I’ve heard that from truckers too.
Recently was this week. He wanted warranty repair ASAP for a air dryer that malfunctioned on Monday but the mechanic said Thursday.AModelCat Thanks this. -
Standard emissions issues will down every modern truck, and they break faster than parts are made.
Seriously, if you people remain complacent and keep fixing that junk it's going to get worse and not better. -

I've been helping a friend at his repair shop due to a recent death in their family. Parts are in short supply. Most parts are made or rebuilt overseas, the situation at the ports means that parts are stuck at the ports, in transit, and manufacturing is slowed down due to COVID restrictions.

If your def sensor goes out (which is extremely common on trucks) you’re looking at weeks to get it repaired.
