Cummins and Paccar have a software workaround if no sensors are available.

Im in the process of changing my turbo from a BW 171702 to a stage 1 turbo. I forgot about the bigger elbow....for almost 3 weeks ive been looking for the elbow. 3 places "had them" and I ordered it but a few days later found out each time the order canceled because none were in stock. There is one supposed to be here today......

That's WHY drivers need to learn how to fix things (outside MAJOR repairs) themselves. WAITING 3 days for a shop to replace a head/tail light, replace a belt, fuse or hose because you have zero clue on how to do it, don't make sense.

    It's nothing new to us.
Hard to get some parts. If you're running, you're lucky.
You need to call a lot to find what you need.

I noticed it in June of last year when no one had a water pump for my DD15.

Sure is nice running around in my old truck with an N14 and not worrying about some stupid sensor or other ridiculous emissions components failing and not being able to get parts.
