I did not jump to any conclusion, I asked a question. Like i said 2 sides to every story.
I still find it strange 2 vehicles was trying so hard to get around you. -
You sure you’re a truck driver? The roads are now full of tailgating idiots. Any road, anywhere.
There’s no shoulder on that highway (a good reason to avoid it in the future) and it’s unlikely there are many places to pull off to allow a crowd to get around.
But who should give a #### when traveling at the upper posted limit?
Courtesy & cooperation are a two way street. But import millions with sub-normal IQ, terrible to non-existent visuo-spatial reasoning, and get what you expect when these 12-yr olds are licensed.
.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
The street goes both ways my friend. Some of the truck drivers out there today are incredibly "sub-normal IQ". They bring it on themselves, there are some Ahole truck drivers also. I find it hard to believe a bucket truck and grain wagon have 12 yr drivers but is possible I guess.
I'm just stating what the cop is going to say " 2 sides" and they will ask the other. And its a his word against theirs any how. I simply ask was he doing 40 in a 65. He said he was doing speed limit, but which one, the min or max? We have a nation wide man hunt over a 45 second video and 1 side? This crap happens to me almost daily, let it roll off and move along. Is he a truck driver or does he want to be a cop? -
After 42 years and 4 million accident free miles (driving 65 in a 65 by the way), I think I know what I’m doing and what happened.
Besides, even if I was doing 45, there was no reason for the grain hauler to pass me. The service truck barely had enough room the way it was.
I’m done defending myself against you. -
GASP!!!
Oh no you didn't. You didn't.
OMG.
OMG.
Somebody do something!!!!! Somebody call someone!!!!!! -
The last 10-15 years or so things have gotten pretty bad on the highways down there. There were times I’d be running 70+ and have a grain hauler right on my trailer wanting to get around. They’ve all undercut each other so bad trying to get work that (in their mind) the only way to make money is to haul more loads in a day.
Lepton1, TIMPTE 527, Muddydog79 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Really? I'm down there all the time, never had any other grain hauler try passing me when I'm running 70.
-
Mornings aren’t bad, it’s usually around 2-3 in the afternoon when they all start thinking they need to get one more load in. They gotta go get that last one and then park in line at Garden City and go home for the night.Lepton1 and TIMPTE 527 Thank this.

It can get hairy on Kansas two lanes sometimes, and to be honest, I wouldn't be so sure that the driver that passed you "drove" for somebody, I have seen some pretty aggressive grain hauler owners!
Yes, they are usually the guys with the dual 8" pipes and 800 HP types.Makeajump and TIMPTE 527 Thank this.
