Just say, no big dog with me and no wife if that’s what you mean and laugh. Then keep your dog in it’s crate in your truck hidden in the back. All good.

I have been to the Goodyear plants in Houston and Beaumont several times. They won’t let your co-driver in either. I guess because they’re chemical plants they’re super tight on safety and security issues. You also have to wear a hard hat and safety glasses.

Is rare for me to NOT have to put the hard hat and vest on. Oh and absolutely no polyester blends. Long sleeve flame resistant clothing is a must.

I don't do well with small dogs. By the time I understand where they are at mentally and physically they already discarded me as old news and moved on quickly to the next distraction. I know of a few but that is as far as it gets. I do much better with say a shepard. We don't have pits here, they are illegal actually.

Takes alot to get a big dog to woof. All that incessant yap yap yap... sheesh.

I delivered and pickup at power plants, refineries, Military Bases, with a dog in the truck.. That has been a few years, so maybe the rules changed.

It probably depends on the base and what type of security checks they have. I've been to some that they just check your license and ask if you have any weapons to declare and then I've been to others where they hold you in a security box while they go through your truck.

I understand a plant blew up in Texas not too long ago.

You think Yorkie might have something to do with that, gnawing on the wires again. /sarc and some teasing.

I run pretty much spot only and hardly ever see the same place twice. I guess I'm up to 50 or so brokers. I don't have a dog but I've never been asked once by a broker or a customer.

From what I see every day I thought I was about the only trucker in America that DOESN'T have one. Except for Dave in AZ and his cats of course.

I doubt it comes into play much on sport market loads. Don't think I've ever seen a load posted on dat that required security clearance.
