Truck will run about 70 min for full recharge, idles up to 1000 rpm's. I don't know about climacab.

Had a 2012 Cascadia condo when I was at Roehl. Batteries would only last about 6 to 7 hours. :biggrin_25513:

Was parked next to a '14 Prostar, Roehl the other day. Had an apu on it. Maybe they decided the battery thing wasn't so good.

I noticed some Mesilla Valley Transportation trucks with solar panels on the roof. Since they use those battery powered ac units, I'm guessing the panels help keep the batteries charged if using it during the day.

Battery thing would work well if the truck had an auto start system like the Prostars.

JMO, but one of the things Int. did right was the placement of the evap/dryer and lines, they are all vented in the pass. side jockey box opening.

On my Cascadias they crammed everything into the bottom of the tower closet behind drivers seat, it's out of the way, but a bear to work on and I think there is some issues with it getting enough air.

I do see that all of the new Cascadias are now mounting that setup on the back of the cab near the roof line, a MUCH better solution. Just like anything else it seems it takes a couple of years to get it right, I just wish that we, (fleet owners/double O's) were NOT the R&R department!!!

    MNdriver Thanks this.
