I also call ahead and look at the address on Google Earth to see if alternative arrangements need to be made.
If it’s in the city where the bulk of my route goes, most people will have me do a street side unload or meet at the local supermarket or truck stop to get there stuff.Bud A., Speed_Drums and Lotsa Bellyfat Thank this. -
How’s the health insurance? My wife had a kidney transplant 5 years ago and she takes anti rejection meds; very expensive. So much so, they are considered “specialty” drugs and usually go through a specialty pharmacy, definately not on the average prescription plan. Does the United healthcare offered by Saia provide for specialty meds? I have tried asking the Saia HR department and of course, they refuse to provide any specific medical insurance information until I’m actually hired. Ridiculous; what if I’m hired, go through all the training, forego any other possible job offers from other companies that might have better insurance plans, only to discover that the health plan offered doesn’t work for me? It would definately be a no go.
Anyway, anybody know a bit about the medical plans?Bud A. Thanks this.
