Anybody Work for Schneider LTL?

sni has single axle sleepers they bought to haul doubles for yrc.

 

been doing it for 2 yrs now?

 

i remember talking to a schneider driver that pulled them up in gary about that. "if looks could kill, id never leave that yard alive"

 

Almost 4 years now. It was part of the 'sign this contract or we're going out of business' contract.

 

I think CRST does it for YRC, as well. I've also seen Werner pulling ABF sets. The Teamsters are up in arms about it, but apparently there's no contract language against it. I don't see them very often, at least where I run.

 

Look back in 2008 and December 2013 and January 2014. They were pissed, and almost didnt vote for more concessions.

Long and short of it was the banks held the Teamsters feet to the fire. They dont agree, YRC goes down, taking its regional companies with it.

 

I’ve seen a single axle Schneider truck pulling YRC doubles a few times up around KY, IN line.
