Can anybody tell me anything about Marten Transport or being on a Kraft account. Recruiter said i would be out 5 days home 2 with a guaranteed minimum of 2,400 miles a week. I assume she is blowing smoke up my ### and would Iike to get some insight from someone who has actually drove for them or been on the account. I tried looking at there online reviews and like most companies it was all over the place.

I know absolutely nothing about Marten or 99.999% of all of the trucking Companies out there. But.......online reviews are .......well......online reviews. If somebody had good service and food at Arby's, Red Lobster, Iron Skillet.......you get my point. They would pay their bill and get on with their life. The vast majority would never entertain the thought of going online and saying how great the Cobb Salad was at Red Lobster. On the other hand....if the dumb beetch at Arby's forgot to put extra Horsey Sauce in the bag.....some folks will go out of their way to carry on for 20 minutes how effed up Arby's is and they will never eat there again, and are organizing a sign waving protest over the weekend at every store in Milwaukee!!! My point is, take online reviews with a grain of salt. Maybe a good place to get a glance at any business, but not to make a educated decision. Best bet.....try to hunt down a couple of random Marten drivers and ask them. Good luck

I've tried, seems like every time I stop I can never find one lol, I've passed some of there trucks and keyed up on the CB trying to talk to them abd they either don't have there ears on or don't have a CB.

There have been threads here on TTR about Marten. Do a search.

If the offer seems legit do due diligence and check it out. Nothing wrong with online reviews but as with anything be careful! I would also add there is no law that states once you sign on you are forced into a life of servitude to this company! Don't develop a habit of job-hopping, but there is nothing wrong with signing on, and just test them and see if they are telling the truth. If not, well it's like that old line. I was looking for a job when I came here. If you find it's a good fit then you have found that perfect job!

I was picking up a cold load at a Kraft facility a couple months ago in central CA and struck up a conversation with a Marten driver from Virginia who was doing exactly what you're asking about. She said she'd been doing it for 5 years and loved it. That's about as good of an endorsement as I can offer.

Dedicated runs are nice. Running the same route every week, you know where to fuel up, where to sleep and where to eat. You know how far you'll be driving every day and how long it will take. If it's a cross country gig, you shouldn't get bored with the scenery.
