Oops.
On another note, I nominate you for having the best avatar on TTR. -
What is the normal average most truck drivers will drive in a day?? 10 hours with a couple breaks?? Or is it more like 8 or 9 hours with a couple breaks or something else??
-
what about driving 8-10hrs nonstop with ur foot on the gas pedal the whole time, no cruise control.......

-
done it a bunch of time. with an eobr lol 10;58 was the most drive time i logged with out stopping lol i called out on it and they just asked why. I said cause I can LOL
-
maybe I'm wrong but I believe you are wrong there is no law that says you have to take a 30 min break anywhere in my lil green book.I log 8-10-11 hours straight all the time because that is how I do it and have been checked by DOT several times in 20 yrs of driving and have never been told I have to take a 30 min break after 5 hours of driving is this what your truck driving school or trainer or your bottom feeder trucking company told you.if Im wrong then I stand corrected but I have never been told I legally have to take a 30 min. break by any DOT officer
-
shucks 11 hrs. straight is nothing all you have to do is set the sucker on cruise go back in the sleeper do a couple of jumping jacks knee bends and run in place for a while jump back in the seat and keep going
-
sucks for fuel mileage I assure you not using the cruise all day
-
You are correct there is no law/rule CURRENTLY on the books regarding a break after 5 hrs of driving.
There is a PROPOSAL to add a mandatory 30 minute break midway through the drivers work day but as of yet nothing mandatory.
