Anyone else get a class action form about DAC/HireRight lawsuit?

Am I right thinking that every time someone pulls my DAC from now on I get notified? If so it has been checked a couple of times lately and getting checked some more.

 

i got one of those letters awhile back and already got a big 15 dollar chk from them.. hell its free didnt have to do anything at all..

 

They have to follow the rules of the FCRA now. Just like a credit report. If you are denied credit, you get a letter in the mail explaining why you were denied.

Same thing with DAC. If you are denied employment because of what's on your DAC, you have to be notified.

I think I posted somewhere else. I called and supposingly a check doesn't exist for me. He said someone had to pull your report since 2006 or something like that. I told him I knew of twice it was pulled in that time frame. He was confused. I ain't gonna fuss over a few dollars of free money. I still have that other guys check. I tried to find him with no luck. HireRight pretty much didn't care what I did with the check. I think I'll just trash it. Something like that can be an accounting nightmare.

 

update I received my share of the settlement today It wasn't what I hope for but it was $4000 Gs so that's a whole lot better than nothing at all I filed for actual damages that's what I got...

 

I'm hoping for at least that,

did you cash it at your personal bank? was there a hold or any wait? I got one waiting at home for $4216.26

 

waiting on mine they were all mailed March 22, 2012
