Anyone else heading out to CRST today from Florida?

Just wondering who else will be on the Greyhound bound for CRST today.I'll be on the 4:50pm bus out of West Palm Beach.It'll be a long ride but hopefully worth it.I should be in Cedar Rapids Monday afternoon sometime.

 

I don't handle flying well so bus is the only option.My recruiter said that I would arrive monday afternoon,check in and hang out for the rest of the day.I'm guessing nothing is going on Monday being that it's Labor day.He said that I am to meet Brandi at 10am Tuesday morning in the operations building.So just going by what I was told so we'll see lol.

 

Yea really I also have 8 extra hours at the house until I am supposed to be onthe bus.it was originally 4:50pm but found out that their is'nt even a bus going to Iowa at that time.The bus for that time is for tomorrow at 4:50 which would put me in Iowa Tuesday sometime.So found out that the only bus going to Iowa today leaves at 1:15am tonight well would actually be Sunday morning which will put me in Iowa Monday at 4:30 or so.

 

"mhawki12" what's going on? i'm Ronnie by the way...I feel your pain about that bus ride.I got on it last Sat night/sun morning at 1:15am from WPB.Had to make a million stops,change 4 buses and ride almost 3/4 a day on one bus with no air, packed up like a sardine can. That was a little rough lol,wide awake and could'nt get comfortable enough to sleep.I got maybe 2 hrs of sleep the whole ride up.We got in this past Monday around 6:30pm and stood around in the lobby for like an hour and had to show paperwork and then waited around for the shuttle to take us to the hotels.The Terminal/Training center was way over packed so alot of us went to hotels.I got lucky the first night and was at the Clarion with my own room and a decent breakfast the next morning.Then got switched over to the red roof the next night and sharing a room there.Should know by tomorrow if I'm staying in a hotel or going to the Terminal.I'd rather stay at the hotel alot nicer and don't have to worry about your stuff as much.I did the orientation in the seminar room Tuesday with Brandi and hung around Wednesday studying while the first big crowd went to the dmv to take the permit test.Which is general knowledge,air brakes and combinations. I went today and failed missed it by only a few questions which sucks I have to go back tomorrow and try it again.I'm sure I'll nail it next time. Now I know which ones I missed,Next Monday I believe is when we start our training at Kirkwood for the 2 weeks.So I only have tomorrow and Saturday if need be to pass the test.Tomorrow I gotta get to the dmv in the morning re-take the test then have to be at the seminar room around 2:30pm with Brandi again to go over pre-trip info.Anyways if you're around the terminal get my attentuion.You won't miss me I have a shaved head,go tee and will be carrying a black back pack ttyl ~Ronnie~

 

oh ok i'm right up the street at the red roof.We'll probably run into each other on the bus...
