Nope, not in the system as a customer.

    Really? Thats BS.

Rollin - yes we have hauled a couple loads for them back in January. Just wasn't in the new dispatch system.

Checked the site out. Actually like it. Will look at it on regular basis.

I only know of a few shippers who are 100% smartway. And even those use carriers with lower scores. As a carrier you're scored overall,as a shipper on a percentage.

Smartway seems to have died in terms of being worth anything other than marketing for those outside the industry. I'm sure there are loads that pay a little better for smartway but I have yet to see one or been refused because we are not certified.

In the food sector it's fairly high. When you get into organics it's very high. Pretty high in the buying groups also.

It was Jan 5th Elkhart, IN to Indianapolis. At the time I thought it was a good rate, man, how times have changed LoL. 145 loaded miles paying $400 gross.. Very cheap.. At least it was same day pick and drop but on the delivery there was no dock and a crew that had to unload the trailer by hand. I ended up missing out on a re-load that afternoon. But this was a typical bad time of year to be booking freight for a dry van off load boards and I was a total newbie back then, hadn't even booked a load for myself at that point. Now I can't imagine anyone else ever booking one for me. I don't miss that, nor the rates either LoL... but I have to say, for the circumstances it was much better than anything else on the boards at the time and I am sure we figured on another reload that afternoon which didn't pan out...

We do get asked often. Of course we're contracting direct, not through a broker. Quite a few small carriers can't get scored anyway. Too old of tractors and trailers.
