Moved 1 a short distance to get it off the property, told the guy I would have to scale it before I moved anymore. Scaled the 2nd one although the scale is in the wrong direction, and it was closer to 80K than the 67K he said it weighed. Told him I’d have to do something different and took it back. I have his 3 axle with the 4th axle flip now, it has a 26’ well, the 3 axle I borrowed only has a 22’ well. Get the chance I’ll see how I can scale it with his trailer, pretty sure it’s gonna be pushing me up to the super load status no matter which trailer I have. He wants to move them 300 miles now, if it’s not legal I’m not doing it period…. -
Finally got a trailer with enough axles to handle the job.
@Oxbow you were pretty close, it was just over 46K on the drives….
-
I see y’all decided to knock the buckets off? What did it scale on the trailer axles?
-
Pushing 68,000. It was definitely heavier than the customer originally thought it would be…. -

IH9300SBA, OLDSKOOLERnWV, CAXPT and 2 others Thank this.

This is my customer’s trailer. 55 ton Talbert with 4th axle, 26’ well.
I could have hauled it boom backwards, but it would have put my drives back up over 50K….. -
Hydraulic hose on top of boom was 14’-8” turned this way.
Hight was not a issue as long as it didn’t exceed the 14/8, just the weight.
Had to have a low impact bridge monitor in WV. Had 2 bridges in Kentucky with reduced speed, 1 I had to be 20 mph and only vehicle on it according to the permit…..
