OP I can't say for sure for FT. Hood. I haven't been there. I have been to many other Military bases all over the States. I have never needed an escort, I had to pay for. I have been escorted by other Military personnel and contractors.
TWIC may or may not help. Most places I need my TWIC is a port. Never at a base.
I have been asked for my CDL, truck registration and insurance. They do a quick inquiry for any current warrants and in you go.
Good Luck.
Anyone ever pick up/deliver to a military base?

I've been to several military bases and never needed a twic card... Each one has been different.... Some have searched the cab, some wanted to look inside the trailer, Grissom Air Force base in Indiana took a mirror and walk around the whole truck and trailer looking under it....
The worst part going to some bases for me is trying to find where you are going once inside the base, the guards at the entrance are never any help...
