Anyone ever worked for Beckmann Distribution out of IL

On top of what others have said, i worked for beckmann straight out of c.r. england's truck driving school, they seemed like a godsend, i went from making about 200 a week with c.r. england because i got laid over constantly, to making around 1200-1500 every two weeks with beckmann's.

but, i got home late on saturday nights, left on sunday night, constantly on the road over weekends, clint beckmann (the son that helps run it) seems to not be able to count as my appointments seemed to be scheduled so i ran out of HOS at really awkward times.

the fuel bonus was 20 bucks set at a ridiculous mpg goal, the only way to make it was to drive one of the automatics which were given based on seniority and had only like 4 in the fleet or so

each truck was supposed to be equipped with a refrigerator, mine did not work, despite mulitple work orders being put in

with my bills from home, i could not afford to eat out on the road and barely scraped by

take it from me, do not go to this company, they will nickle and dime you on every check, charging you for anything and everything they can think of

late loads are like 15-20 bucks each time, which is alot since they can't schedule to save their lives

it was like working for an autistic third grader who was scheduling loads by throwing paint at a large posterboard of numbers

seriously, just... don't...

yes i worked for them for 20 yrs, but we had paperlogs then. made decent money,but ran around 3000 mi or more too. got home when i wanted mostly.elogs kills good jobs when the try to do the same thing when you use to run paper. thats one reason i didn't go back to work for them now....
