    Thanx in advance for taking time from your day to read my post.

    I'm currently driving for G. Hildebrandt so far I've had a problem with electronic logs (HOS) now a new discovery, I got a speed warning from the safty dpt. Ok fine but the trucks Max speed is 65 the only way to break out is going downhill if your lucky. They want me to sign and return that I read and agree not to speed. That's all good but the trucks only do 65 MPH even downhill. What are they doing? building a file to use against me.

    Yes, they are building a file< both for your HR file and in the event of an audit or a wreck they can prove whats referred to as "progressive discipline".

    You need much more info that just "You were speeding, sign here".

    Where and when did this allegedly happen?
    Were you tracked by satellite or some other technology?
    Did some dick rat you out because he/she couldn't pass you?
    Where you even where this alleged infraction took place and does your log book match that?

    Did the SPEED WARNING tell the time , location and SPEED you were doing. Truck might only do 65 MPH but the warning could be for ( EXAMPLE ) doing 55 in a 50 zone.

    Did you make an arithmatical error OR did you make an error on your log noting the names of cities or towns?

    Now way in he ll I would sign that crap! I'd need a whole lot more proof than that nonsense!

    Schedule a meeting with safety>I wanna hear about this...

    I checked my log for that day, lmfao i wasnt even driving yet. That particular date I was with my trainer, what a fun this is going to be.

    Happens when a company tries to match paper logs with Qualcomm. You only have two hours left but need to drive three. So you just log the two hours for 180 miles. 90 mph, you're speeding. Though maybe it was your trainer. If you're on elogs, it busted him for going over the speed in a given state. Though most companies don't do this.

    Found out that my trainer put the total miles for the day on my paper log, the auditor didn't snap to the time I drove Wichita was two hours. Lmfao its obviously an error in miles compared to time driving. Why they didn't catch it I'm not sure, it's all water under the bridge now. Thank you all for taking time from your life to help me with mine. If ever there comes a day that I can help you plz don't hesitate to ask.
