I am thinking about driving for Tri State Motor Transit. Does anyone have any feedback for me? I haven't seen anything posted good or bad.

    Thanks

10 years ago I was with them and they had a few management issues which have since been resolved. They got a new president and managers as well as straightened up a few issues. I would be proud to go back to work for them if it wern't for the fact I made as much and home as much as where I am at now.
    Good luck.

If I am not mistaken, that was when Trism had bought TSMT out and was running the show! I heard it was a mess!

You will need to be a team to make good money with TSMT. My husband and I drove there for 10 years, mostly as company drivers and we made great money (even though this was during the Trism mess). We finally left, then came back three years later after the buyout. It was great for company drivers, but after we bought a truck, we found that we really had to pay attention to our settlements. "Mistakes" happened and then we were told they weren't mistakes... When we caught a big one in time to fix it, we were left sitting for 5 days, finally deadheaded home. We took our truck elsewhere and even though we don't make as much, we don't have to "watchdog" our settlement sheets.

Would we go back? As company drivers, you bet! They are great, take good care of the equipment and always supported their reliable drivers.

Just be ready for intense background checks. If your credit rating is poor, don't even bother - they view that as a potential area where you could be tempted to talk about your loads... It's worse than a criminal record!
