OK seeing as your realy from GA I'll cut ya some slack. The reason trucks and buses aren't allowed on parkways IS a safety issue, why? Cause of all the LOW BRIDGES:biggrin_25521:!!!!! I'd call that a safety issue wouldn't you?
It sucks but now ya know better, calm down and retest. BOL

What if the instructor said " please make a left turn up here when it's safe and legal to do so" ???
I bet he did say something like that, even if he didn't:biggrin_25523:

He did ask something kinda like that. We took a course we never drove during school...as we came into an area that had docks, he asked "Can this truck take a left in this lot?" After a quick glance on my part, I found the "no-truck" sign and answered his question correctly.

In no way did he endanger the truck or public by trying to "trick" me into turning into an area with truck restrictions. But he tested me to make sure I was paying attention...several times...

p.s. only lost 1 point on the driving test...we did an emergency stop on a downhill grade like we were going to check the vehicle...I still had the truck in the high range when we were going to take off...stalled it :biggrin_25511: (I'll remember that lesson...just like forgetting the keys in the ignition during pre-trip)

My mouth would have gotten me into trouble if I was asked that, not necessarily on purpose but never the less I am sure my response would be smart assed.

I placed calls to the tester's supervisor and to the district office of that particular branch of Motor Vehicles reporting the tester and telling what happened. All of them said this was not allowed for the tester to do and filed reports to investigate. There's also another department they want me to send a written / formal complaint to, which I will do, but just haven't gotten the chance yet as I have been very busy at work. Either way, I don't think I will get my money back - the most that may happen is the tester will be reprimanded or fired. But I have another road test scheduled for April 17 at a completely different school and different road test location as well. Keeping fingers crossed! Thank you all for the input / advice.

I had a jerk of a tester do that to me when I was 16 years old (I'm 38 and I can still remember the snappy/mean tone he used lol). The next month I went in and got a lady. She told me I drove very well. That there was no way I could have improved that much in a month. Also, that the other guy fails most of the females he tests.

Coming to him?...The driver did something he wasn't suppose to do, not the tester...He needs to suck it up and do better next time...
