Anyone got any info good or bad on mushroom express , in valley center on the rincon

    Looking at maybe hiring on with mushroom express in valley center , thats on the rincon indian res. Near escondido... Figured i would check here before making a decision.... Any info good or bad is appreciated.

    Where do they run ? Local or OTR ? I think I've seen them, but not sure. How many trucks, how old is the equipment etc ?

    they run penske rental trucks and reefer trailers 53' , coast to coast. I have orientation this morning at 1030.... Truck boss says they are good , if you break down truck is fixed in 4 hours or replaced with new tractor.... New cascadia's the equipment i tested on was excellent, just don't know anything about this outfit reputation wise..... Haven't talked to any other drivers yet... Trucks kept at grainery in Escondido... offices across from rincon hotel

    I fixed a loader tire for them several years ago I think their name was mountain meadows mushrooms. Very nice people but the stinkiest job that I have ever been on. I learned that day that they grow mushrooms in chicken ####. Literally!! I love mushrooms but couldn't eat them for a year. I'm hoping that for your sake the packing plant is better unless you have a love of flies :). Good luck

    don't know what they might have been called at one time, but this is mushroom express , valley center , calif.. In north san diego county.... They back haul mushrooms from east coast to calif....

    Yeah I lived in Escondido at the time. I'm not putting them down, I just never knew how mushrooms were grown. I assume there's not too many mushroom farms up there but it could be a different place. This place was north of Escondido off of broadway I think. Good luck to you. Sounds like a good gig if you live in Escondido.

    There's a mushroom farm/packing plant right north of me in rural San Marcos, north end of Twin Oaks vly rd. Pretty large operation.

    well, think about it if you end up getting info thats not good, you can always change your mind.....just cause you do an orientation does not mean your locked in for life , i am gonna work for them not get married....

    This is not on north broadway , i haul dirt past there every day and not in san marcos.... Its a trucking company with office across the street from harrahs rincon hotel/ casino.... I won't be starting there till the week after next at the earliest....
