Safe Haven is only class 1 HazMat. PC goes to line 1 and is notated with PC. Line 3 cannot be edited by FMCSA mandate.

But I thought drivers only cheated so they wouldn’t be stuck at a truckstop 10 miles from their home....

One time on paper logs, I drove exactly 11 hours. I made it to the yard, went on duty, and tried to back my trailer in the dock. I was so tired after driving 11 hours that I fell asleep at the dock for two days. I asked a doctor why it happened, and he said “no human has ever driven safely more than 11 hours exactly. It’s science.”

To this day, the Guinness World Record for driving without having an accident or falling asleep is 11 hours exactly. Hence, the 11 hour driving rule before taking 10 off.

I can drive more than 11 hours safe...
No normal human will sleep 10 hours. After 7-8 hours of sleeping the driver is wasting 2 hours at least before driving..

Are you sure it’s safe to drive after 11 hours? I have read enough Elog support threads that would suggest you are a real danger to everyone if you don’t follow the HOS to a T. At a minimum, you would be driving rates down, become a poor trip planner, be extremely tired at the 11 hour and 1 minute mark, right? (I’m being sarcastic, the HOS are arbitrary rules made up with zero evidence. Plenty of folks can drive safely well beyond the driving limit set by a moron beauracrat.) Heck, my mom has more experience trucking as a passenger than Anne Ferro, Ray Lahood, Elaine Chow and every other DOT and FMCSA director combined.

I agree. I personally needs 6 to 7 hours of sleep to be fully functional.

No American is safe after 11 hrs drive time but apparently we Canadians are only unsafe after 13 hr drive time .. unless we’re in the states then we become unsafe at 11 hrs drive time.. gotta love science PS Americans become safe after 11 once they cross the border into Canada
