Matching funds are what the states receive for road construction and repair, for interstates and local roads projects, administered by FHWA and other agencies.

Our governor will listen to the ag lobby, or will not continue to be governor.

The Ag lobby is pretty powerful. They got an ELD exemption and special HOS rules for livestock haulers. Farmers don’t need a CDL and their trucks don’t need an annual inspection. Don’t underestimate what they can get done.

By the sounds of it, that annual inspection may as well be written on #### tickets anyways.

There will also always be the guy runs on a single State Farm plate all over hell. Stays off the scales outta sight and claims all cargo to be his own. Next to no insurance cost the way he does it. Some will say oh my if he gets caught….I know a fella with a truck farm plated outta Missouri, had a hired driver in it no DOT number, no ifta and not for hire on the door. Got busted in Neodesha Kansas hauling butcher cattle to gibbon Nebraska. Driver tells DOT man every thing he wants to know cause he is scared. About 600 bucks worth of fines is what the owner incurred and they let the load go on to delivery. He has ran that way 5 years been caught once. Not a bad average I say. These ol Pete’s are hard to date they all have similar body lines. So is mine a 19 or a 91. Sure it’s not a forever solution but would work for a while. I’m not saying what I will or won’t do we’ll see when my hand is forced. It’s my job to provide for my family. I’m going to do so at any cost. What else can you expect when you rip a man’s livelihood out from under him?

Well, I can only guess both governments and the ag lobby know ethanol is such a boondoggle it’s embarrassing. If one really studies how the ethanol industry in this country is proped up with taxpayer funds, there would be open revolt.

Magoo1968 and Long FLD Thank this.
