Took about a week to have one come in. 17.5 LRH. On trailer. Threw tread but did not deflate. Rust mark shows earlier puncture that caused seperation. Rust trails on belts show how moisture gets in eventho air does not leak out. Only 2 -1/2 years old.
First pic shows the twistoff point about 180 degrees from puncture where the tread held on a little longer and than let go after slapping the crud out of trailer.
Anyone had a steer tire blowout while driving?

I've had it happen to me four times in 34 years on the road. Two on the right side and two on the left side. Twice I was loaded and twice empty. Three were at highway speed, 55 to 65mph at the time, and one was accelerating to highway speed. I knew what was happening. I felt it going down and then a loud bang and then felt like driving with square tire. Was lucky I reckon and each time was able to guide it onto the shoulder even though I always hit the brakes instinctively. Never hurt the rim and just replaced the tire each time.

Driving thru Moriarty,NM a Volvo blew a tire and went across opposing lanes of traffic and ended up safely facing eastbound on the westbound far shoulder . I later found his video on YouTube and spotted my truck in his video as I was heading westbound . Glad he was ok .
