I might have found a good offer for an o/o running for CEVA. He says they are based out of Columbus w/ yards all over. Mainly electronics on preloaded trailers. It sounds like a great deal and I'm considering it to get some $$ back in the bank.
Any info on them?

I ran for the old TNT Logistics, now CEVA for a short time on the Home Depot account in the Toledo area. I wasn't there long enough to form a good opinion about them. I was dispatched out of Southfield, MI and they rented trucks from Ryder. I was doing deliveries in the Michigan area when I was pulled over by the cops and cited for no DOT numbers on the doors. Since I was an out of state resident they took my license as bond. A week later I get a call from my supervisor asking me to meet him that they got my license back and paid the fine. I get my license back and he says your services will no longer be needed. The following day they were stickering up all rental trucks with the DOT numbers.

you will do ok as an o/o. It was better as EGL , the last post was by a company driver and yes the Home Depot account is a bad deal. I have been with them 10 years running local and its like anything else good and bad. If you can get on a dedicated run its a good deal. Best of luck!

Well, the o/o I'm talking to had nothing but good things to say. Now, this might be his selling point to get someone in the truck as I've done the whole too good to be true things a couple times. However, he told me 70% is drop n hook, with 100% no touch when we do live load.
He said I'll be out about 3 weeks at a time (which is no biggie, I usually run 4-6 before I come home) and they usually put you through Columbus and San Deigo at least 2 times per your time out.
The biggest thing he said was that generally with their trailers they only usually load 20-30k on them, unless its a broker load, then it will be maxed out. Just seemed unusual that its mostly drop and hook or 1/2 loaded trailers....but I've been in the car side of transport too long to make judgment......hence me seeking answers.
Thanks for all info -
Scratch the whole idea now. lol. Apparently Ceva approved me and the owner then called right after them and told me he decided to drive the truck himself to save money. I can't blame him for that, I'm actually glad he was up front and had the courtesy to tell me before leaving home or soemthing.
Was trying to get a # for CEVA to see if they could place me with another o/o since they approved me, but haven't heard back and I can't find any #'s directly.......everything seems to be a different # when you call the ones I find. -
If you haven't checked the web for a number try looking under the select carrier group. SCG thats ceva's old tractor division.
