As title states, I am looking to swap my super 10 for a 13 spd. I would also be willing to trade plus some cash for mine. Is it possible to convert my super 10 to a 13 spd or any other higher speed? I mainly just want a couple extra gears up top.
Anyone have a good used 13 spd trans?

A super 10 is .74 overdrive final ratio. A 13 depending on model is .87 final ratio if an old noisey RTO. An RTLO 13 or 18 is .73 final ratio. The only gain will be the super 10 jumps from 1.1 to .74. A 13 or 13 goes from 1.1 to .87 to .73.
With no core your looking at 4500.00 just for a 13 speed. Finding someone to even give a little credit on the super 10 is about impossible. Buy the 13 outright get it put in then sell the super 10 and recoup what you canrank, jamespmack, BoxCarKidd and 6 others Thank this. -
Thank you for your help! What do you think the super 10 would be worth?jamespmack Thanks this.

Anywhere from 700 to 2,000 is what I've seen them for, they're not exactly a highly wanted trans to 90% of the people I know of.jamespmack Thanks this.

I've seen this list of reman transmissions and differentials offers at Tri State Volvo in Little Rock ,AR off I-40. I have Eaton 13 also, I was curious and checked the price , aprox 3500$ part only with warranty .These are like new, ive been told are remanufactured by Eaton.

That price is with a core. With no core to trade in you can add 2500 to 3500 to that.rank, jamespmack, Johny41 and 3 others Thank this.

Super 10's are basically 13 speeds missing some gears in the main and a lot bigger jump in the splitter. But I'd bet they share little but case dimensions. Without going thru the parts list, best guess is you'd likely have to buy all the internal parts (including shafts) of a 13, and at that point you're probably well beyond the cost of a reman.
Andrew Woods and Johny41 Thank this.
