Anyone have a legit fear of trucking and still did it?

    That's the truth. My dad and uncle did it all when they logged. Felling, picking, and driving. My uncle had a soft road give out with a load on. Truck rolled, he broke his nose and four stitches, and a replacement truck later, my dad had him re loaded and headed for the mill.

    That being said, #### can scare you. I used to drive trash truck, and have been literally hit by a car picking up a stop. Other times due to weather or suicidal Bambi's, I've had some wild rides. None of that was as scary as sitting in a Chinook at 20,000 feet with a bunch of locked and loaded ANA.

    It's how you react to that fear. If it leaves you literally paralyzed, then this ain't your cup of tea. Try the school. If you make it through and build enough confidence to handle the truck and trailer, by all means, stick with it. If you get behind the wheel and seize up, sorry, but you need to head home.
