I love trying to piece together what some people type on here at times. It is amazing what a comma and a period can do.

Yeah, i get that the limit is in the interest of time since you've only got 2 hours of complete all 3 areas but in the real world...get the hell out and look! Good lord, there are some drivers I've seen that need to G.O.A.L. just for the sake of getting out and getting some exercise.

All the same... Since when have the DOT or FMCSA ever made a rule that had real world common sense in it?

"It's like sex, keep trying and you'll get it right. Don't rush, it will come in time and don't let those super truckers tell you that you're taking too long. Take your time and do it safely."

Translation granted. That'll be 50$. I take checks, cash and credit cards.

Unfortunately the neighbours wouldn't appreciate it if I brought home a semi, much less with a 53 footer attached! ...something about noise, traffic and power lines. All I heard was, "Gripe gripe gripe gripe!" :p

It's probably closer to 40 minutes round trip. Just depends upon the time of day I run home.

    Big adjustments bite your butt....
Tiny corrections left and right allow you to systematically straight line back.

Despite what they all may say.. even we 25 - 30 yr vets have bad backing days and have to pull up and start over.
Many times the more OPEN the space I have to back into, the more trouble I have hitting it. It's normal. It'll come.

Assuming your school has your pull forward first before you back I'll tell you exactly what my main instructor told the guys who were all over the place in my class. "DON'T MOVE THE ##### WHEEL" and the truck goes back straight. That's assuming the trailer isn't out of whack of course. Just look at your mirrors and judge it by how much trailer you have on each side, if you have too much to the right, turn the wheel a LITTLE bit towards the right, to the left, same thing. turn the wheel towards the screw up. Don't worry, it'll just click at some point.
