THANK YOU FOR THE REPLIES. LOOKS LIKE A WAY FOR ME TO GO,
-
I am going there this Friday. I will let you know how it goes.

thanks BDOG it will be nice to hear how it turns out. does anyone know if you have to do a pretrip with the DOT officer. I know its a written test. but do you have to do both ? Im talking about TX. only...thanks
-
I think some DPS offices in Texas require you to do a pretrip but the offices the CDL truck places goes to does not. Just air brake test, backing, and road test. You have to take the written part of the pretrip though but it isn't hard. I read the drivers handbook one time the night and morning before I took my tests and I passed all five with ease. I think I missed a total of 7 questions out the over 200.

Thanks Bdog, That's strange how some offices do and some don't do pretrip. You would think it would be the same for every site.
-
I got my CDL at Garland and there was no pretrip... You do need to know the Brake Pump Down and Static Air loss tests, just need to tell them how to do it, not actually do it.
AshleyJ Thanks this. -
