I had some pictures somewhere, but not sure where they are. I moved a couple of times & some boxes were lost lost. I'll see if I can find them. I am not sure how to get them posted on this board, though.

I worked for Steinbecker Brothers. I washed trucks, "busted" tires, lumped trailers, worked night dispatch, west coast dispatch and was a fill in dispatcher. The first trucking job I ever had. Ive been a dispatcher for 26 years now. SBI was still my favorite job ever. I worked nights with Bill Bieber, John Baker, Bob Henry, Howard Levy and Shirley. What a great company. I learned a lot of lessons which still apply today.

I remember the Steinbecker drivers, I was bartender at the Cuckoo's Nest in Lyndhurst NJ and Randy use to bring the guys up all the time. One time Larry gave me a $100. because there was no water down at the terminal and I let 6 or more drivers come up and take a shower at my apartment. My sons were young but the guys were real great to them. Mica is now up in Alaska, he found the picture of the truck and turned me on to it on Facebook. Would sure like to know what happened to some of those guys. Hope they're all doing well and happy. I gave up bartending in '86.

old thread, but I'll bring it back to life lol. usually SteinBecker had doves. I spent a lot of time around those trucks when I was little. My dad was a driver/ safety for them. Still have a lot of the pictures from the " investigations" as well. also, when they moved to Kansas, my dad was one if the main guys to go help them set up there. I rremember going to the owners house, his wife making us dinner and we watched the debut of the old super man movie. it was a nice break since we had spent the entire summer in our 5th wheel trailer.
