Geez...and here I felt bad using 15gb. (Not really, I dont feel bad.)

Granted, all I do is stream Netflix and Internet radio for the most part. I don't tether.

You can get Satellite internet for a truck, it's hard to use (requires repositioning every stop) or very expensive equipment.

Most Satellite providers do not offer truly 'unlimited' data. You get an allotment (hughes net for instance 10gb a month before you get throttled). Once you get up to the limit you are throttled, and then the bandwidth you have is good for precious little more than browsing and email.

In addition to this, the equipment is expensive and easily damaged.

My own workaround to the whole thing is a 10 terabyte USB 3.0 storage unit. I have things that I've DVR'd, things I've torrented, etcetera. I have access to pretty much anything I want to watch when I have time to watch it, thousands of audio books, thousands of songs. I have a 20GB data plan on my phone, which I use to Tether to my laptop. I use my Data for browsing, youtube, and gaming (LoL, WoW, CoD). If I want to watch a movie I can use NFC to pull the files onto my phone, or laptop. I do miss my netflix, but the cost is just to prohibitive

Yeah, I think downloading to external storage when there's wifi available is the way to go.
