Anyone have the 800 watt Cobra inverter?

    I just bought the Cobra 800 watt inverter from Pilot. It works great but I noticed that the cooling fan isnt running. Im only running my laptop off of it right now so its not under much load. Is the cooling fan thermostatically controlled or should it actually run all the time?

    fan should only run to keep internals cool,when u put a real load on it the internals will heat up.

    Thanks, I was just concerned I had possibly gotten a defective unit. I have a cheapie 400 watt that the fan runs all the time on.
