Anyone having issues with NY HUT stickers?

    Wondering if anyone else is having issues with their NY HUT stickers. I've been trying in vain to get one since February. Albany has our correct address and all of our other information. We've called Albany and each time we get somebody on the phone who keeps repeating that it must have gotten lost in the mail and go on the website, fill out the form and we'll get it in 7-10 business days. We've done this 4 times already.

    Anyone have any suggestions? Aside from staying out of NY...lol We've already been stopped by DOT for not having it displayed but we have the paper temp copy so we're covered there.

    If you are not domiciled in New York State, then due to the lawsuit against the NY Department of Taxation by OOIDA you can no longer log onto OSCAR or send in the paper form to order your own stickers, you must use a permit service like ComData. I used to order my own stickers, when I replaced two trucks this spring I had to use ComData. The people you talk to in Albany are clueless, I got lucky after about a week of run around and got one on the phone that knew what was going on.

    Special thanks to the clowns at OOIDA, they sued over the cost of the permit and decal for out of state trucks, so in order to save $24 in fees for the permit and decal I now have to pay a permit service $74 to get them for me!!! With groups like that fighting for truckers we don't need any one fighting against us!!

    P.S. Do not use nyhut.com, they are a scam permit service, all they do is take your info, create a new OSCAR account and then tell you, sorry we don't know why the permit didn't go thru. They took my brother for $99, then he still had to use ComData to get the permit, even after talking with Albany about the other permit service.

    Thanks for the tip. We have NY base plates and we are able to log into Oscar. Everytime we reapply for the sticker we are charged a dollar. Maybe this is how NY makes extra $. HA!

    I'll keep Comdata in mind for next year. We did get a sticker finally thru the company were leased to but it's not the one we've already paid for.

    When did they fix that? As of three weeks ago I could only file my return, still couldn't order a new sticker yet?

    I used oscar a little over a week ago, got a temp. DOT was at the Hudson cash box pulling trucks in. I had mine on the dash, he saw it, waved and off I went.

    Good thing I checked because I had just ran 3 loads not too long before that after not being able to order them last Dec.

    Got the stickers Tue after Memorial Day. I think 5 or 6 days after I ordered them.

    Can't file a return as of today, not sure if bc I'm not Nys based carrier tho. Only could file/amend returns thru last quarter of last year.

    Could just be a temporary glitch, we didn't have any problems filing our returns only ordering new credentials, same with my brother and we are both Pennsylvania domiciled. I guess I will see in a few weeks when I file 2016Q2.
