Came out here for the prime program to find out I can't get my cdl because of a hold on my license. What I don't understand is why did my recruiter run my license and still bring me up here. I passed everything to get my permit but I couldn't due to the holds. Now they won't even help me get home and I'm stranded up here. If anyone can help me get back to Mississippi it would be greatly appreciated.

What exactly do you, or they, mean by Hold? Is it perhaps suspended?

Recruiters will tell you anything, and then they will also fail to tell you a lot of things. I think they get paid for the numbers of people they convince to come check out, and test for their company. They get paid even if those people fail to meet the qualifications.

That is low down and dirty to leave you stranded. Like you said, they should have all their ducks in a row before they bring you up there.

You'll be wanting to head down 62 which cuts your rides way down.

No family to send you a bus ticket? It should be around $100.

how do you get up there , did they pay the ticket, i'm thinking same thing, but i'll have a bus ticket for return if dont go as planned , i learned long ago that they will lie and swindle you , i hate phones , becuse you cant be face too face and go over the checklist they want, i want too know what too bring and not too bring and not one told me this, the recruters, also, i'm wondering if would worth my investment too buy my own tickets round trip and spend a week checking out the place then decide on the last day too fill out the paperwork like the apps and stuff, thats how the coprate world works, they look at a hotel for sale, ok, they fly too that city, spend a week there , then last day , they decide if right or not, :biggrin_25513:

I can't float the whole thing, but I'd be willing to pitch in $10-20 towards the purchase of a bus ticket (read, I will not give you cash but will gladly take up a collection to purchase a bus ticket in your name back to Gulfport). Check with TCSI Transland. Alot of those guys go to Memphis. 60 Highway East to 63 south all the way to I-55 into Memphis. My family actually lives in Springfield.

    CondoCruiser Thanks this.
