Anyone Heard of this before

did you have an accident that was preventable if you got a ticket for it?
I see people who've gotten a ticket after an accident like a lane change or something where they're at fault and issue the ticket that when you go to renew your CDL for some reason it says you got to retake your tests..

 

There is no written test to get a class A license, only to get the operators permit and any additional certifications like hazmat and tankers. Either you misunderstood, or the clerk didn't know what they were talking about. If you are already a class A license holder there is no written test to renew it in any state. At least not yet.

 

Yep, every time I renew my license I do written tests. You located in Ontario by any chance?

do you have the hazmat endorsement?

maybe in the past, ca did not have you people retake THAT test at renewal times.
