When I switched my cdl from New Mexico to Alaska, I had to take the written test for autos, they said I didn't need to test for the cdl since I had one .lol
I was not looking to get an Alaska license at the time, that was the very first time I ever came up, but my license was expiring, so I gave them a fake address and changed it. lol
A few years later I was outside when my Alaska license was going to expire, I called and explained I could not get back in time, short of flying up just to get it taken care of. They actually mailed me a 6 month extension.
Last year for the first time since 1976 when I got my commercial license, I screwed up and let it expire and didn't think about it for over a month, I went in just had to do the eye test, since it had not been a yeaqr. great. lol
This year I got my new medical and registered it online, a few weeks later I get a certified letter that my license had been suspended, so went down and registered it in person, like I should have done to start with and they just reinstated it.
I have never heard of the op's situation at all.
Anyone Heard of this before
