I have to drop a customer owned can there tomorrow am, and pick up an empty for another agent. Both are Mediterranean Shipping. I have a PIN number for the pick up, but not for the drop. Do I need one? What's the best way into the port? Thanks
Anyone here ever drop or pick up a container at the Garden City, GA container

Anyone? It looks like I need a RFID tag as well?

Yes you will need to have a PIN for a drop and pick up!! You can (if I remember) go to the main gate, which is Dean Forest rd/ Bourne Ave and trust me they will advise you of what you did wrong
I'd go to the GPA Credentialing Center ' Savannah 100 Main Street, Highway 25
Normal Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m.-4:45 p.m.
Closed 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. for lunch
Not sure if they have truck parking near there..........

no truck parking there, you can get in without the rfid deal, a little pain but less pain than screwing with the credential center, the exit off I-16 is dean forest rd, hwy 307 , off I-95 take the hwy 21 exit at the pilot and run it to dean forest hwy 307, just follow the containers lol. if ya go to the credential center you will have to go past it to the firehouse, turn left and park up there and walk back(good ways to the credential center. don't park at the center{ I know I tried} and he is correct you will need a pin for both.

Thank you!!! How much does the RFID cost? I'll probably do it for less hassle in the future. Is there room past the fire station for two trucks?

the rfid is free, if ya lose it 50 bucks to replace -
I didn't get the RFID as I had issues with the customer owned container. The last ship line had entered it as belonging to them. Took a couple hours to get straightened out. That has to be the best run port I've been to. Everyone was friendly and helpful, which was a huge change from the Florida and New Jersey ports.
